Support House Bill 799 - DUI Conviction Expungement

House Bill 799 is a bill pending in the Georgia Legislature which will allows for a DUI conviction to be expunged if the individual convicted does not violate any traffic laws for five years upon his or her arrest for DUI. Currently, there is no opportunity to expunge a DUI conviction.

This bill makes sense. Those that are convicted of a DUI but show a pattern of subsequent good driving behavior should be allowed to get their DUI conviction removed from their record.
