Georgia law enforcement hopes to combat drunk driving this St. Patrick's day weekend by launching a new, "Drive Sober, Georgia" app for smartphones. The app advertises "free and safe rides home" and is available for individual across the state who think they've had too much to drink and need a ride home. "Don't take the chance on getting a DUI or in cars," the iTunes description says, "click on the service in your area and schedule a free ride home today."
State troopers also announced they're going to beef up patrols and sobriety checkpoints over the weekend to make sure that Georgia roads stay safe from drunk drivers, especially after dark.
