Weintraub & Alper Legal. Get Client Released on $50,000 Bond in National 'Sextortion' Case

Spearheaded by Benjamin B. Alper, Esq., a federal "sextortion" case gained national attention when the defendant was released on a $50,000 bond after allegedly stealing sexually explicit pictures of women and using them for blackmail.

Prosecutors allege that the man obtained photos of young women from online accounts and threated to post them publicly unless the women provided more photos and videos.

Although the man's release was strongly opposed by the senior trial attorney of the Justice Department's Criminal Division's Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section, the man was released on a $50,000 bond and ordered house arrest.

Judge Applauds Weintraub & Alper Legal.

After Mr. Alper negotiated a plea bargain for the defendant, the presiding judge applauded Mr. Alper's exemplary legal defense. "I want you to know that you have the best, most fantastic lawyer that ever walked the face of the earth because you should be getting more time than your co-defendants did," he told the defendant during court proceedings. "Mr. Alper is, without a doubt, the man. The greatest lawyer that every walked the face of the earth."
